Meet Laura, our Chiropractor

After graduating from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2015 and with hundreds of hours of continued professional development (CPD), I’m here to help you regain control of your body and health. I am registered with the General Chiropractic Council (04200), the United Chiropractic Association and fully insured, so that you can put your trust in Energise Chiropractic Shrewsbury.

The Decision to Become a Chiropractor

I’ll never forget this time of my childhood – very suddenly, my dad had a ‘slipped disc’ in his lower back. He was hobbling around like an old man using my granddads walking stick. He had some scans and lots of pain medication but there was no change. After about 3 months, it was suggested he see a Chiropractor. As a 10 year old, watching the change in my dad was incredible. He had been doubled over in pain for months and within a few weeks he was standing tall and proud again – all 6 foot silly of him! At the time, I used the word ‘magic’ to describe what I saw. Chiropractic care gave us my caring, loving and fun dad back – the dad who wanted to go swimming and biking with me at the weekends. Chiropractic care gave me MY dad back.

The more I learnt about chiropractic care the more I knew that this was something I wanted to do. Those chiropractors helped me learn more about health and the body, and after shadowing them in practice, I knew had found my calling.

I love the moments when people tell you, I never thought I’d be able to do this. They’re happy to return to doing the things they enjoy.

In 2021 we decided that the time was right to open our own practice with the dream of creating a happier and healthier community in Shropshire. I have a passion for working with athletes to help them reach new heights and then keep them at the top of their game. I am a keen runner (marathons and hopefully ultra-marathon soon!) and have experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in injury prevention and recovery, and sports performance.
