Meet Laura Beaumont-Perry, Chiropractor

The Decision to Become a Natural Healer

Chiropractor Shrewsbury, Laura BeaumontMy introduction into chiropractic was when I was 10 years old. My Dad was struggling with lower back pain – hobbling around using my grandads walking stick. My dad went to see a chiropractor in Manchester (where we lived at the time) and as a 10 year old, watching the change in my dad was amazing – I used the word ‘magic’. Chiropractic gave me my dad back. We were able to get back into doing the fun things in life – swimming and biking. Having that quality father-daughter time!

The more I learnt about chiropractic care and how the adjustment could help people, the more I knew that this was something I wanted to do. The chiropractors helped me learn more about health and the body, and after shadowing them in practice, I knew had found my calling.

I love the moments when people tell you, I never thought I’d be able to do this. They’re happy to return to doing the things they enjoy.

Training and Education

I went to University to study a Master of Chiropractic at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic and was constantly amazed about the intelligence of the human body. How the body can adapt and heal despite the use and abuse we put our bodies through. I saw this first hand in the student clinic and appreciating how long-term regular chiropractic care can maintain good health and wellbeing. Chiropractic care is about finding the root cause of the problem rather than focusing on the symptoms. I also saw those who were more active in their care improve quicker and become happier in life – this is so fulfilling.

I graduated in July 2015 and have gained vital experience and expertise over the years. In 2021 I decided that the time was right to open my own practice with the dream of creating a happier and healthier community. I have a passion for working with athletes to help them reach new heights and keep them at the top of their game. I am a keen runner and have experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in injury prevention and recovery, and sports performance. As part of my passion for running I am a leader in a local women’s running club. Again, this is with the dedication to create a happier and healthier community. One of the things I love the most about living in Shropshire is having the countryside on our doorstep to roam and explore.
